- Tench Stocking Nov 2011
On Saturday, 5th November 2011, Jack's Lake saw its first ever and well overdue stocking of tench, since the Club first formed in 1982. The introduction of 200lbs of these species consisted of both breeding male and female fish of between 2lbs and 4lbs and are hoped will grow on and provide future generations at the lake. It will also offer something different for anyone fishing at Jack's helping to boost catches in both match and pleasure sessions, which are often over-shadowed by the usual hauls of Bream, Carp and other small silver fish. The committee hope to introduce additional stocks of tench to the lake in the near future and a further article will of course be posted on the Club's website when this happens.

- Working Party Saturday 08th October 2011
In the Season there is much work to be done. Banks and paths have to be repaired and at times fishery management projects, such as fish stocking, have to be completed. Dates of working parties are made available to members available from the Secretary, and now here on our web site. Members are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile and important area of fishery management.

Have you had a good catch on the lake? Do you have a picture of the fish? Would you like to have it published on the site? If the answer is yes, then email HAPS a picture and a short line of text explaining your catch. We will aim to put up the pictue as soon as we can. - Forty Hall
We wish to advise the members that as we are unable to find anyone to bailiff, we have been forced to give up the water. Therefore from 1st January 2011 we are unable to fish EAC Woodland Lake at Forty Hall lake - 'Beach Casting'
The banning of the 'Beach Casting' method of (surface) fishing at Jack's Lake is now enforce and would appreciate the co-operation of the membership.

When i visit family in Stanmore, this is the lake i come to. Excellent all-round fishing with some nice specimen fish too. My personal best here is a 12lb Mirror. Michael Daley - Pleasure Angler
